Sulejman Krasniqi, writer, was born in Ho\u00e7\u00eb e Vog\u00ebl of Rahovec (Kosovo). He completed primary school in his hometown, whereas secondary school in Prizren. After being imprisoned, since he was a student he escaped to Albania. For a while he lived in the immigrant settlement in Llakatund in Vlore, then he was interned in Seman of Fier and in Levan of Fier. He then worked as an accountant in Berat, and in the years 1963-1967 he studied Albanian language and literature at the Faculty of History and Philology of the University of Tirana. After completing his studies, he worked as a teacher in secondary schools in Mat and Tirana until 1982, when he became a freelance writer. He wrote sketches, stories, articles, reportages, pamphlets, etc. in the periodical press. He wrote his first novel when he was a teacher in Klos of Mat. Then he published many works, novels, novellas, plays, etc. Some of the published works are: “Tri motra, tri histori\u201d (\u201cThree sisters, three stories\u201d)(1972), “N\u00eb shpell\u00ebn e bandit\u00ebve” (\u201cIn the den of bandits\u201d)(1973), “Prij\u00ebsja e komit\u00ebve” (\u201cLeader of the committees\u201d)(1975), “Mic Sokoli<\/i>” (1979), “Pushka top Bajram Curri<\/i>” (1982), “Oso Kuka”<\/i> (1990), “Rapsodia e kosovares” (\u201cRhapsody of the Kosovar woman\u201d) (2001), then the nonfiction books “Shqiptarofobia e serbom\u00ebdhenjve” (\u201cAlbananophobia of the big Serbs\u201d)(1990) and “Evrop\u00eb deri kur do t\u00eb keqp\u00ebrdor\u00ebsh durimin e Kosov\u00ebs shqiptare\u201d (\u201cEurope, for how long will you misuse the patience of Albanian Kosovo\u201d) (1997). He was awarded the Prize of the Republic and was decorated with the Order of Work by the Assembly of Albania. He passed away in Tirana, in 2011. (In the photo: Sulejman Krasniqi)<\/i><\/p>\n
