In the area known as Likenet e Hasit-Gorozhup, Muj\u00eb Krasniqi, a participant in the Kosovo Liberation Army, Hero of Kosovo, known as Commander “Kapu\u00e7i<\/i>“, passed away. He was born in the village of Qabiq, municipality of Klina, in 1967. In 1994, he was arrested and later went into hiding. He maintained contacts with the main leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army, with whom he occasionally carried out organized actions against police stations and roadblocks. On November 28, 1997, due to the burial of the martyr Halit Geci from Llausha, Muj\u00eb Krasniqi, along with Daut Haradinaj and Rexhep Selimi, appeared publicly before thousands of citizens, where they outlined the goals of the Kosovo Liberation Army. He was the initiator of the formation of the “Alfa<\/i>” (\u201cAlpha\u201d) combat unit of the Kosovo Liberation Army. On April 16, 1998, Muj\u00eb Krasniqi was seriously wounded and later sent for treatment in Albania. In November 1998, together with his comrades, he successfully infiltrated Albania to obtain arms and ammunition for the needs of the war. On December 13-14, 1998, with 143 fighters of the Kosovo Liberation Army, he set out for Kosovo and Pashtrik. In the area called Likenet e Hasit-Gorozhup, Serbian forces attacked the column, where Muj\u00eb Krasniqi and over 30 of his comrades were killed. They were buried with military honors in Polac, Drenica. In honor of Muj\u00eb Krasniqi’s deeds, the 113th Brigade of Drenica was named after him.
