The decision of the European Parliament to lift visas for Albanian citizens traveling to European Union countries came into effect. The process of integration into the European Union, being the major national objective, is the leading political action on the agenda of the Albanian government. With the awareness that the country’s integration into the European Union is the most effective path for its rapid democratization, the Albanian government is taking concrete steps to fulfill key reforms. The integration process is a highly significant moment that dictates concretization, dialogue, and partnership; thus, serious work is being done to fulfill the established obligations. The Albanian government aims to implement a multidimensional cooperation approach, believing that the level of success in the integration process is measured by the implementation of reforms, the involvement in decision-making of all key actors, including the opposition, civil society, business, and interest groups.
