Painter Sadik Kaceli is part of the important group of Albanian painters of the 20th century. He was born in Tirana in 1914. He is regarded as one of the leading figures of Albanian art who consolidated realism in Albanian painting in the first half of the 20th century, bringing the main elements of French art to Albanian art, where he studied. He is the author of the emblem of the Republic (1946) and the national flag. Kaceli participated in all national exhibitions and those organized by the Albanian state outside Albania.
