He was born in Hogosht of Kamenica (today Dardan\u00eb), in 1951. He completed the high school in Gjilan. He participated in the demonstrations of 1968. As a student at the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Prishtina, he engaged in illegal political activity for the establishment of the &#8220;Kosova Republic&#8221; demand. Compiler and publisher of the illegal organ &#8220;Voice of Kosova&#8221;. On December 24, 1974, he was arrested and sentenced to 9 years in prison. He continued his illegal activity after his release from prison (1983). He was among the leaders of the Movement for the Republic of Albanians in Yugoslavia.
