Naim S. Frash\u00ebri, theater and film actor, People’s Artist, Hero of Socialist Work, passed away. He was born in Leskovik, in 1923. He started doing theater in Tirana high school and then in the partisan theater. In May 1945, with the creation of the State Theater (now the National Theatre), he began his career as a professional. Powerful dramatic actor, with high sensitivity and explosive temperament, created over 80 characters, tragic and romantic heroes, from Albanian and world dramaturgy, among which, in the theater: Hamlet (Shakespeare), Selimi and Jonuzi (\u201cFamilja e peshkatarit\u201d (\u201cThe Fisherman\u2019s Family\u201d), Sulejman Pitarka)<\/i>, the general (“Gjenerali i ushtris\u00eb s\u00eb vdekur” (\u201cThe General of the Dead Army\u201d), Ismail Kadare)<\/i>, Shpendi (“Mbi g\u00ebrmadha” (\u201cOn the ruins<\/i>\u201d), Fadil Pa\u00e7rami), Ferdinand (“Intrigue and love”, Shciller), Edgar (“King Lear”, Shakespeare) , uncle Vanja (Anton Chekhov), etc.; in cinematography: Pali (“Skanderbeg”, 1953)<\/i>, Teacher (“F\u00ebmij\u00ebt e saj” (\u201cHer children\u201d), 1956)<\/i>, Stefani (“Tana”, 1957)<\/i>, Qemali (“Furtuna” (\u201cThe Storm\u201d)<\/i>, 1959), doctor Artani (“Gjurma” (\u201cThe Trace\u201d)<\/i>, the surgeon (“Plag\u00eb t\u00eb vjetra” (“Old wounds”))<\/i> etc. The acting of Naim S. Frash\u00ebri stands out for its authenticity in experiencing joy and human suffering and sorrow. Naim S. Frash\u00ebri had well-developed expressive facial expressions and plasticity, a voice with a wide range, resonant and with a warm human timbre. He was a master of analysis, he appreciated the inner world of the figure, its dramatic states, making visible the shaken psyche and spiritual turmoil of the character, especially of the Albanian characters, who stand out for their realistic, very human and convincing nature. Naim S. Frash\u00ebri gave great help to the strengthening of the national character of the Albanian Theatre, in the preparation of young actors, as a lecturer in the dramatic department of the Higher Institute of Arts (today the Academy of Arts).
