Sotiraq \u00c7ili was born in Kor\u00e7\u00eb, a successful actor of the “Andon Zako \u00c7ajupi” theater in Kor\u00e7\u00eb and of the Albanian cinematography. He studied acting at the Higher Institute of Arts and for many years was an actor of the “Andon Zako \u00c7ajupi” theater in Kor\u00e7a, an institution with which he also contributed to the history of Kor\u00e7a theater. But he is better known in cinematography and active in many Albanian films. He started with the role of a German officer in the film \u201cPrita\u201d (“The ambush”)<\/i> (1968) and then we can mention, \u201cMontatorja\u201d (“The assembler”)<\/i> (1970) – the construction brigadier, \u201cFlamur n\u00eb dallg\u00eb\u201d (“Flag in the wave”)<\/i> (1977) – Colonel Karar, “Nj\u00eb udh\u00ebtim i v\u00ebshtir\u00eb” (\u201cA difficult journey\u201d)<\/i> (1977), “Hetimi vazhdon” (\u201cThe investigation continues\u201d)<\/i> (1977), “Tomka dhe shok\u00ebt e tij” (\u201cTomka and his friends\u201d)<\/i> (1977) – Tomorri, “Gjeneral gramafoni” (\u201cThe General Gramophone\u201d)<\/i> (1978), “Pas gjurm\u00ebve” (\u201cBehid dhe tracks\u201d)<\/i> (1978) – Guri, “P\u00ebrtej mureve t\u00eb gurta” (\u201cBeyond the stone walls”)<\/i> (1979), \u201cKarnavalet\u201d (\u201cThe Carnivals\u201d)<\/i> (1979), \u201cKronik\u00eb e nj\u00eb nate\u201d (\u201cChronicle of a night\u201d)<\/i>(1990) – Nikolaj, etc. Sotiraq \u00c7ili has had a simple interpretive game with a naturalness that aims to reveal the organic behavior of the characters, although in moments of turmoil and resentments.
