He lived in Switzerland until 1997 and then returned to Kosova. In March 1998, he made the first contact with members of the Kosova Liberation Army. He was appointed coordinator to establish the first military units in the villages of Hasi. In the beginning, the activity of these units was the logistical support for the soldiers of the Kosova Liberation Army, who passed through the villages of Has to Albania to be supplied with weapons.
