Loro Bori\u00e7i, a footballer (center forward), coach, educator, and “Distinguished Master of Sport,” passed away. He was born in Shkod\u00ebr in 1922. In his hometown, he completed high school and joined the \u201cVllaznia\u201d football team for the first time in 1937, becoming the youngest player in the pre-war national championship. He studied law at the University of Rome, where he played with \u201cLazio\u201d in two Serie A championships (1941\u20131942, 1942\u20131943). Bori\u00e7i stood out as a player for \u201cVllaznia\u201d in Shkod\u00ebr, which won the national championship in 1945. He was the captain of the national football team, which secured first place in the Balkan Games in Tirana in 1946, and captain of the \u201cPartizani\u201d team, which won the Albanian championship in 1949 and 1954. In 1958, he coached \u201cFlamurtari\u201d in Vlor\u00eb, \u201cLokomotiva\u201d in Durr\u00ebs in 1966, and \u201cPartizani\u201d from 1959 to 1984 (with breaks), winning silver medals in the International Tournament in Hanoi (1963) and the title \u201cBalkan Champion\u201d (1970). He completed a one-year specialization course as a coach in Bulgaria (1960) and taught football at the Higher Institute of Physical Culture \u201cVojo Kushi\u201d in Tirana. In 1974, he worked as a football expert in the People’s Republic of China. Loro Bori\u00e7i played in 24 official matches with the national team and coached the team in 20 matches.
