In Shkod\u00ebr, Hysen Pelinku, a singer and “Merited Artist,” was born. From 1941 to 1942, he studied singing at the \u201cRossini\u201d Conservatory in Pesaro, Italy. He participated in the National Liberation Anti-Fascist War. He was a singer at the Albanian Philharmonic since its founding and later at the National Theater of Opera and Ballet, where he played the lead role of Mullisi in the opera \u201cRusalka,\u201d the first opera staged in Albania. He has performed leading roles in the operas \u201cTraviata,\u201d \u201cThe Barber of Seville,\u201d \u201cCarmen,\u201d \u201cLa Boh\u00e8me,\u201d \u201cMrika,\u201d and others. He participated in various concerts abroad (Poland, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, China, etc.). He had a warm voice, appealing timbre, rhythmic compactness, and stage grace.
