In Tirana, Aristotle Papa, a lyrical landscape painter of nature in Albania, died in the second half of the 20th century. He was born in <\/span>Përmet<\/span>, in 1921. He partially completed his studies at the Academy of Arts in Zagreb, Croatia (1946, former Yugoslavia). Together with Andrea Manon and Abdulla <\/span>Cangonji<\/span> (Emini), he later completed his studies in Bulgaria. His creativity was dedicated to the landscape of the Tirana area. In some of the P<\/span>apa<\/span>‘s paintings, the influence of French impressionism is often felt. P<\/span>apa<\/span> is considered as the realistic landscape painter of the area of Central Albania. In his paintings, within the simplicity and ordinary landscape that he painted, one can feel a deep love for nature, a processing of detail, elegance in drawing and a typical Albanian light. <\/span><\/span>(In the photo: Pope’s work “In the bazaar of Tirana, 1985, oil on cardboard.)<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
