Father Filip <\/span>Mazreku<\/span>, Catholic clergyman, musician, was born in Thessaloniki. He completed primary school and high school in Shkodër, while his higher studies at the Faculty of Theology in <\/span>Colleviti-Pescia<\/span>, Italy (1934-1937). On September 7, 1928, he wore the robe of Saint Francis. On September 13, 1936, he was ordained a priest. During the years 1937-1946, he was a professor of music at the “Illyricum” high school, director of the choir and professor of the Italian language. After closing the lyceum, he was sent as a parish priest to <\/span>Bushnesh<\/span> in Puka, then to <\/span>Iballe<\/span> and finally to <\/span>Bajze<\/span> in Shkodra, where he was arrested in 1946. He spent 10 years in prison in Shkod<\/span>er<\/span> and Burrel. Between 1952-1955, he was the rector of the church of Saint Ndou in Tirana. From 1955 to 1961 he served as a parish priest in <\/span>Laç<\/span>, and from 1961 to 1967, as a parish priest in <\/span>Troshan<\/span> of <\/span>Lezha<\/span>. After the closing of the churches, he lived for some time with his father and then alone, farming. He passed away in <\/span>Troshan<\/span>, <\/span>Lezha<\/span>, in 1975. <\/span><\/span>(In the photo: Filip <\/span>Mazreku<\/span>)<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
