Petro <\/span>Kokushta<\/span>, painter of the XX-XXI century, was born in Tirana. He <\/span>attended<\/span> the Artistic High School “Jordan Misja” and the High Institute of Arts in Tirana, in the branch of easel painting (1969). From 1970, <\/span>Kokushta<\/span> was a lecturer at the High Institute of Arts and further, from 1987, he was the Secretary of the League of Writers and Artists of Albania. <\/span>He<\/span> has <\/span>participated<\/span> in all the most important local, <\/span>national,<\/span> and international exhibitions. Petro <\/span>Kokushta<\/span>, in his creativity, unfold<\/span>ed<\/span> interesting works with full and powerful colors, which have brought the <\/span>paintings<\/span> a modern status and <\/span>almost outside<\/span> the strict formal, <\/span>academic,<\/span> and scholastic norms of the time. Before the 1990s, <\/span>Kokushta’s<\/span> painting could not go <\/span>beyond what<\/span> the regime at the time imposed<\/span>. He has realized cycles of landscapes from the coastal area of Vlora, <\/span>Gjirokastra<\/span> and Tirana. <\/span><\/span>(In the photo: <\/span>Kokushta’s<\/span> work “Spring in the hills of Tirana”, 2020, oil on canvas.)<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
