Ofelia <\/span>Giudicissi<\/span>, <\/span><\/span>A<\/span>rbëresh<\/span><\/span> poet, writer, and archeologist<\/span> passed away. <\/span>Sh<\/span>e was born in<\/span><\/span> Pallagario<\/span> in Calabria, in 1934. <\/span>Sh<\/span>e came from a modest family and was the seventh of ten children. In 1964, she published her first literary work, “<\/span>Pallagorio<\/span>“, a book of poems, completely inspired by her fellow citizens with whom she was strongly connected. She was also <\/span>very active<\/span> in the field of archaeology, especially <\/span>in the area of<\/span> the country where she was born, where she also conducted different <\/span>research<\/span> for the exact etymology of the city’s name. During the period when she was <\/span>writing<\/span> her last book entitled <\/span><\/span>“<\/span>Momenti<\/span> di un <\/span>profilo<\/span> meridionale<\/span>” <\/span><\/span>she passed away at the age of 47.
