The “Battles of <\/span>Kaçanolli<\/span>“, important battles of the Kosovo Liberation Army, took place in the Operational Area of <\/span>Llapi<\/span>. <\/span>On September 15, 1998, the enemy attacked the positions of the 151st Brigade of the Kosovo Liberation Army, with the aim of breaking the resistance in the defensive area and then penetrating the rear.<\/span> Then the frontal battles began, in which <\/span>significant damage<\/span> was caused to the enemy in terms of people and combat equipment. Fierce fighting took place on the second and third day, preventing the enemy from penetrating the right and left flanks of the Kosovo Liberation Army units. Meanwhile, the Command of the Operative Zone of <\/span>Llap<\/span>i<\/span> took measures for the relocation of the population, the <\/span>wounded,<\/span> and the military hospital, as well as other technical and material means. On the fourth day, the enemy, with a large concentration of combat technical forces, tried to penetrate to take the road junction near the village of <\/span>Bajgorë<\/span>, where it penetrated, but suffered great losses <\/span>in<\/span> people. Around midnight on this date, the enemy was finally driven out of this territory.
