Fatos Sela, actor, Merited Artist, was born in Tirana. He completed his higher studies in 1972 at the Higher Institute of Arts, drama branch. In the years 1972-1975 he worked as a director at Albanian Television. In 1975, he was transferred to the “Bylis” theater in Fier, where he worked as an actor until 1995. The period of work in the Fier Theater is the time of his formation and affirmation. As one of the most vocal actors of this theater, he interpreted almost all the main roles of the works staged, both from Albanian and foreign dramaturgy. He has been awarded many prizes in theater festivals. In the role of Avni Rustemi in P\u00ebllumb Kulla’s “Dy Krisma n\u00eb Paris” (\u201cTwo gun cracks in Paris\u201d), honored with the Republic Award, he culminated at the end of the drama with the monologue of the defense speech, which he turned into a pathos-filled pretense against betrayal and traitors. From 1995 onwards he was an actor of the National Theatre. Fatos Sela was noted for his sonorous voice, baritone in the bass, as well as for his rounded speech, for his physical gifts with a tendency for roles of heroes, leaders or people with expressed individuality. He became known for the warm feeling, the filled eye and the deep experience. These were usually accompanied by sudden outbursts, but by no means chaotic and uncontrolled, on the contrary, clear and purposeful. He passed away in 2013. (In the photo: Fatos Sela)<\/i> <\/p>\n
