He completed his higher studies at &#8220;Cooper Union&#8221; University in New York, in the field of visual arts. In 1959, he started working as a cartoon director, then moved to the television advertising industry as an art director, where he made over 150 commercials. A good part of them have entered the permanent fund of the Museum of Modern Art of New York and have been honored with high awards, including the &#8220;Tony&#8221; award (the highest award of American television) given to the film series for New York, with the common title \u201cI love New York&#8221;. In 1972, he started shooting feature films, such as: &#8220;<i>The Dirty Little Bill&#8221; <\/i>, <i>&#8220;Love at First Bite&#8221; <\/i>, 1979, <i>&#8220;Mr. Mom&#8221; <\/i>(1983), a satirical film about marital relations, <i>&#8220;The Man with one red Shoe&#8221; <\/i>, 1989, where the Albanian-American actor James Belushi also plays. Sten Dragoti in his films tends to family and social problems. In 1995 he visited Albania as a producer.
