She was born into a noble Hungarian family in Budapest (Hungary), in 1915, and held the title of Countess. She was educated in the Hungarian and Viennese schools. Her studies in the well-known Assembly of the Sacred Heart of Presbaum, near Vienna, left their mark on her formation. She learned the Albanian language, respected the local traditions and maintained her love for Albania and its people until the end of her life. With the fascist invasion of Albania (April 7, 1939), together with her family and son, Leka Zog, she left the country. During World War II, she kept in touch with the Albanian diaspora and with pro-Albanian circles operating in various capitals of Europe.
