Ndri\u00e7im Xhepa was born in Tirana, an actor and Meritorious Artist. After completing his studies in acting at the Higher Institute of Arts in 1979, he began working as an actor at the National Theater. In the early years of his career, he was in search of individuality, often not successful, but starting in the early ’80s, especially in the ’90s and beyond, he became one of the most distinguished actors in dramatic and psychological performances. In theater, he has played around 35 roles. During the ’90s, he also took on leading roles in independent productions. He has had a successful career in cinematography, portraying around 30 leading roles, making him one of the most beloved and prominent actors for many years. Ndri\u00e7im Xhepa’s acting is characterized by psychological and dramatic nuances, with a generally explosive temperament, a penetrating gaze, and a speech, gestures, and facial expressions that convey a clear thought and readable subtext. He is a three-time winner of the “Best Actor” Award at film festivals in 1987, 1989, and 2000, and a two-time winner of the “Aleksand\u00ebr Moisiu” award for best actor at the National Theater Festival in 1986 and 1995.
