After a month-long offensive by Serbian forces (December 17, 1998 \u2013 January 17, 1999) in the Dukagjin Operational Zone, the need arose for supplying the Kosovo Liberation Army with weapons and transferring the wounded to Albania. A group composed of 96 members of the Kosovo Liberation Army from the Dukagjin Operational Zone and a unit from the Pashtrik Operational Zone set out on January 27, 1999, from Zhebel toward Albania. Near the Terzive Bridge, close to the village of Bishtazhin in Gjakova, around 11:00 PM, they fell into an ambush set by Serbian forces. During the clash, two members of the Kosovo Liberation Army were killed, and two others were wounded. Part of this group returned to Jabllanic\u00eb, while 25 other fighters continued their journey toward Albania, heading toward Goden. Above the village of Goden, near the Kosovo\u2013Albania border, the group fell into another ambush by Serbian forces, resulting in the deaths of two soldiers from the Kosovo Liberation Army and five others wounded. After this ambush, the group returned again to the village of Goden and from there reached the village of Rogov\u00eb in Has, where they took shelter in a house in the village. The next morning, around 5:30 AM on January 29, while traveling in a van, they noticed another ambush by Serbian forces and turned back to the village. However, a few minutes later, Serbian forces arrived and immediately began shooting at the van, where 18 members of the Kosovo Liberation Army and the driver were located. Out of all those in the transport vehicle, only two soldiers managed to escape. On the same day in Rogov\u00eb of Has, nine civilians from the village were also executed.
