He was born in Beltoj&euml;. At the height of the communist regime, since the Albanian Pontifical Seminary was closed, he was prepared to become a priest privately by Archbishop Ernest &Ccedil;ob&euml;s, who ordained him a priest on December 8, 1961, together with Dom Marin Shkurti. He was the vicar of Daj&ccedil;i on the Buna coast and then Barbullushi (Shkod&euml;r). He was arrested in Beltoja (Shkod&euml;r) and imprisoned in Shkod&euml;r on April 19, 1973. He was sentenced to 7 years in prison on August 15, 1973 and to death on September 4, 1973.
