Manush Alimani, activist of the Anti-Fascist National Liberation War, Hero of the People, was born in Shkodër and grew up in Tirana. From a young age, he threw himself into anti-fascist activity. He stood out as one of the most active young communists in the capital’s high school. Member of the Albanian Communist Party, in 1943. Youth leader and one of the leaders of the Communist Party and the Anti-Fascist National Liberation War in the former district of Shkodra, political secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth (1943 and after), member of the Central Committee of the Albanian Communist Party (1944). He was suddenly arrested and brutally tortured in the cells of the Gestapo in Tirana. He died in the cells of the Gestapo in Tirana, in 1944. (In the photo: Manush Alimani)
