In the Long Meadow of the village of Greiçevc in the municipality of Suhareka, the “Rance Massacre” occurred, perpetrated by the military and police forces of Serbia against the civilian population. During remote shelling aimed at the residents of these settlements, who had sought refuge in the mountainous region known as Long Meadow, the Serbian forces attacked a convoy containing the Asllani family. This tragic assault resulted in the deaths of all 11 family members, including 8 children aged between 6 months and 13 years, as cannonball grenades were fired at their tractor trailer. Additionally, three individuals were injured in the attack. On the same day, the Serbian army executed an elderly man in the village of Rance.
