Dom Anton Zogaj, a martyr of the Catholic Church, was born in Kthellë, Mirditë. He was ordained a priest on April 26, 1932. After his ordination, he was appointed parish priest of Shna Prenda in Kurbin, then of the Cathedral of St. Lucy in Durrës, and later chancellor of the archbishopric and secretary to Archbishop Vinçenc Prennushi. He was arrested in Durrës on May 18, 1947, one day before Archbishop Vinçenc Prennushi (May 19, 1947), and imprisoned there. He was tried in Durrës on August 29, 1947, and sentenced to death on December 24, 1947. Without completing a full year in prison, he was executed near Porto Romano in Durrës in 1948.
