The lecturer, poet, writer and researcher Dhori Qiriazi was born in the village of Lengëz in Kolonja in a patriotic family. He completed his higher studies in the department of Albanian language and literature at the University of Tirana (1958). He worked as a language and literature teacher in Erseka. Dhori Qiriazi started writing at the end of 1950. In 1958, his first collection of poetry “When the heart beats first” was published, which was followed by the volumes: “Intimate Ballad” (1963), “Pines with crystals” (1971), “Poetry” (Prishtina, 1976) etc. A part of Dhori Qiriazi’s creativity is dedicated to the theme of the Anti-Fascist National Liberation War, where portraits of partisans stand out.
