National movement activist, teacher, poet and publicist Hafiz Ali Korça passed away. He was born in Korça, where he finished high school. He completed his higher studies in theology and philosophy in Istanbul. He returned as a mufti to Korça and took care of the opening of a secondary school, where he also taught. We find him as a representative in the Congress of Manastir (1909) and in the Congress of Elbasan (1908), where the fate of Albanian culture and education was decided. In 1916, he published “Arabic Alphabet” for teaching Arabic, “Albanian-Arabic Grammar, Syntax” and “Speech” for secondary schools. (In the photo: Hafiz Ali Korça)
