On April 17, 1948 , in Shkodër, Mirush Kabashi was born, actor of theater and cinematography, Merited Artist. He completed higher studies and graduated from the Academy of Arts (1970). He started working at the “Aleksandër Moisiu” theater in Durrës. In 1994, he moved to the Albanian Television (TVSH) and from 2002 to the National Theatre. He has performed over 100 roles in the theater and 20 roles in the cinematography. As an actor, mainly of the comic and satirical plan, he has created prominent figures, such as Shazivari in the film “Koncert në vitin 1936” (“Concert in the year 1936”) (1978), Nikollaq in the film “Karnavalet” (“Carnivals”) (1980), Brahushi in the film “Dora e ngrohtë” (“Warm hand”) (1983 ), to reach the figure of Socrates (“Apologjia e Sokratit” (“The Apology of Socrates”) of Kosta Varnalis, 1997), with which he won the “Golden Sphinx” grand prize at the 9th International Festival of Experimental Theater in Cairo (1997). In 1989 he was awarded as the Best Actor of the National Theater Festival and in 2002 he won the award for the best actor as a protagonist in the “Apolon 2002” Acting Festival. With his performance, distinguished by originality, elegance, and refined plasticity, Mirush Kabashi has embodied unique characters from various social circles, from antiquity to the present day.
