On April 13, 1905 , the cleric and writer Pashko Babi passed away. He was born in Shkodër. He studied at the Albanian Pontifical College at the age of eighteen. He then served as a parish priest in various villages of Northern Albania and as a priest in the remote areas of Northern Albania. He is the author of a text for religious schools with the title “Vakinat e t’ligs të herëshme e t’ligs së re”, Shkodër, 1882 (“Events from the Old Testament and the New Testament”), the first textbook published in Albanian in Albania, which deals with the tenses of verbs, issues of the noun system and their plural.
