The first issue of “Shkopi”, a satirical, political and social newspaper, was published in Sofia. The newspapers were published by the “Brothësia” printing house. It was founded by Athanas Tashko and Jani Vruho, and they cooperated closely. Some of the writings were also in Greek. The newspaper supported the struggle for national liberation, published the portraits of prominent figures of the National Renaissance, criticized the ngrekomansand the turkomans.
