Dom Lekë Sirdani, martyr of the Catholic Church, passed away. He was born in Gurëz (Lezhë) in 1891. He was ordained a priest in Shkodër on April 24, 1916. Parishioner of Shkreli and Reçi (Shkodër), as well as Mazrrek (Tirana). He was arrested in Bogë (Shkodër) and imprisoned in Koplik, on July 27, 1948. He died during torture, without trial, drowned in the swamp in Koplik, in 1948. (In the photo: Dom Lekë Sirdani)
