Perlat Rexhepi, participant of the Anti-Fascist National Liberation War, Hero of the People, was killed in Shkodër. He was born in Vajza in Vlora, in 1919. He embraced communist ideas from Vlora’s high school and Tirana’s technical school. He worked as a surveyor in Vlora, then in Shkodër, where he threw himself into revolutionary activity. With the formation of the Albanian Communist Party, he was accepted as a member. Member of the First Regional Committee of the Albanian Communist Party for Shkodra (1941), he helped establish and direct the Party’s technique. He participated in the actions and assassinations of guerrilla units in the city of Shkodra. At the beginning of June 1942, he was wounded in an attempt with the fascists.
