Skerdilajd (Bardhyl) Llagami, fighter of the Kosovo Liberation Army, martyr, was killed in the village of Begovi, near Tetovo. He was born in Tirana, in 1969. He was an officer of the special forces of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Albania. In March 1999, he joined the ranks of the Kosovo Liberation Army, in Tropoja, and became part of the 138th “Agim Ramadani” Brigade. He participated in the “Arrow” operation and was assigned to the Kosovo Defense Forces in Gjakovë at the end of the war. Then he was engaged in the Albanian war in Macedonia, in the ranks of the National Liberation Army. He joined the forces operating in the mountains of Sharri, above Tetovo, with the duty of special unit commander. He participated in many actions against the Macedonian police and army. He was killed in one of these actions in 2001. In 2006, he was reburied in Tirana’s Cemetery of Martyrs of the Nation. (In the photo: Skerdilajd (Bardhyl) Llagami)
