Loro Boriçi was born in Shkodër and was a renowned football player (center forward), coach, lecturer, and Merited Master of Sports. He completed high school in his hometown and made his debut with the “Vllaznia” football team in 1937, becoming the youngest player in the pre-war national championship. He later studied law at the University of Rome, where he played for the “Lazio” team in two Serie A championships (1941–1942, 1942–1943). Boriçi distinguished himself as a key player for “Vllaznia,” leading the team to victory in the national championship in 1945. He served as the captain of the national football team, which secured first place in the Balkan Games held in Tirana in 1946. Additionally, he captained the “Partizani” team, winning the championship of Albania in 1949 and 1954. In 1958, he became the coach of “Flamurtar” in Vlora and took charge of “Lokomotiva” in Durrës in 1966. From 1959 to 1984, he served as the coach of “Partizani” (with interruptions), winning silver medals at the Hanoi International Tournament in 1963 and the title of “Champion of the Balkans” in 1970. Boriçi completed a one-year specialization course as a trainer in Bulgaria in 1960 and worked as a football teacher at the Higher Institute of Physical Culture in Tirana, known as “Vojo Kushi,” from 1966 to 1969. In 1974, he served as a football specialist in the People’s Republic of China. During his career, Loro Boriçi played in 24 official matches with the national team and later coached it in 20 matches.
