In the village of Gabrricë, Besnik Begunca, a member of the Kosovo Liberation Army, was martyred. He was born in Kaçanik, in 1972. He participated in many patriotic events that took place in Kaçanik during the 90s of the 20th century. In March 1998, he joined the ranks of the Kosovo Liberation Army in Kaçanik. On August 4th, 1998, he joined the unit consisting of 23 fighters, who were prepared to participate in the war against Serbian forces in the Nerodime Operational Zone, in Jezerc. On August 10th, in the village of Gabricë, in a clash with Serbian forces, he was martyred. (In the photo: Besnik Begunca)
