In Tirana, on the pretext of the so-called incident at the Soviet Embassy, Zyhdi Herri, a lawyer, was shot without trial. He was born in 1921, in Tirana. He studied at the Lyceum of Korça and Tirana. In 1939–1940 he was expelled from all the schools of the Italian Empire, as a participant in the demonstrations against the Italian occupation. Later, he studied law. After the war, he worked in the newspaper “Bashkimi”. One day after his death, on February 27, the Supreme Military Court sentenced him, with the decision no. 64, as “participant in a terrorist organization, for entering the service of imperialist espionage, for propaganda against the government and for inciting war”, with death by firing squad, the loss of permanent civil rights and with the confiscation of all movable and immovable property.
