Llazi Sërbo, actor, was born in Korça. He finished his studies as an actor at the Higher Institute of Arts in 1969 and immediately after that he was appointed to the “Andon Zako Çajupi” Theater in Korça. In the years 1986-1993, he worked as an assistant director at the “Kinostudio ‘Shqipëria e Re’”. On the stage of the theater of Korça, he played about 30 main and secondary roles. He created striking figures, especially in cinematography. He started with the role of Dalan in the film “The stars of the long nights” (1972), to later reach high-level acting performances, especially in the films “The fall of idols” (The Teacher), “The bride and the curfew” (the German captain Edgard) etc. Llazi Sërbo’s play stands out for the obvious concentration of psychic action, for the depth and self-restraint in living the inner world of the character, for the unflinching eye, for the security and external calmness of the portrait. He has staged several pieces as a director. He passed away in 2010. (In the photo: Llazi Sërbo)
