On April 18, 1937 , the first issue of the newspaper “Shtypi” (1937-1939), a political, social, cultural, literary, economic, financial, etc. newspaper was published in Tirana. It was published regularly three times a week (from No. 28, dated June 22, 1937, it became a daily). After the release of the first issue, it continued regularly until issue 614. It reflected the most important problems of the time, economy, culture and other spheres of daily life. For a short time, Petro Marko worked as an editor for the newspaper “Shtypi”, securing the collaboration of intellectuals and bringing the signatures of progressive young people to its pages. After several issues, the newspaper “Shtypi” continued to openly support the domestic and foreign policy of King Zog and the intensification of close political and economic relations with Fascist Italy.
