On April 25, 1893, Father Serafin Koda, martyr of the Catholic Church, was born in Kosova. He was ordained a priest on June 30, 1915. He was a teacher; parish priest in Rajë-Mertur, Bizë, Shalë, Prekal, Bushkash, Vukël and Lezhë. He was arrested and imprisoned in Lezha on October 13, 1946, in the assembly turned into a prison. Without trial and without sentence, he died due to torture in 1947. His body rests in the church of the Minor Friars of Lezha. (In the photo: Father Serafin Koda)
