In Shkodër was born Lazër Jubani, Catholic clergyman, linguist, historian, archaeologist, brother of Dom Simon Jubani. He was arrested in 1947 and sentenced to 15 years in prison. After his release, he spent five years in exile. Died from being poisoned with arsenic by the State Security, on July 30, 1982. (In the photo: Dom Lazër Jubani)
