One of the most prominent poets of contemporary Albanian poetry, Vorea Ujko, the literary pseudonym of Domeniko Beliç, left the world of Albanian letters. He was born in Frasnita (Calabria). He conducted theological and literary studies. He served as a clergyman and teacher of literature, in Firm of Calabria. He distinguished himself as a master of metaphor. His writing came very close to the literary language. For Albanian readers, he became known with the poetic volumes: “Anxiety” (1979), “My seasons” (1980), “Arbëresh songs” (1983), “The Source” (1985) and, especially, with the lyrical volume ” Open the door, lady mother” (1990).
