In the mountain gorge, which is called Tenda e Qypit (Skrapar), one of the bloodiest battles of the Winter Operation took place, undertaken by the German invaders and the Albanian Quislings. The enemy was able to enter Këlcyra only after five days of fighting and did not dare to continue the march in the area of Përmet and Zagoria, according to the planned schedule.
