Zyhdi Morava, a writer, poet, and intellectual, passed away in Tirana. He was born in the village of Gracë in Devoll in 1946. He was interned from Tirana to the village of Yrshek for political reasons. He was arrested on March 3, 1978, and with decision No. 282, dated July 4, 1978, the Court of the District of Tirana declared him guilty of “agitation and propaganda against the people’s power” and sentenced him to 8 years of imprisonment. He served his sentence in Spaç. By decree No. 6656 of the Presidium of the People’s Assembly, dated October 28, 1982, the remaining part of his sentence was waived. Between 1982 and 1991, he was forced to work as a construction worker, a loading and unloading worker, a worker on a farm, and a night guard in a horse stable.
