In Lezha, Father Serafin Koda, a martyr of the Catholic Church, passed away due to torture. He was born in Kosovo, in 1893. He was ordained a priest on June 30, 1915. He was a teacher and parish priest in Raje-Mertur, Bize, Shale, Prekal, Bushkash, Vukël, and Lezhë. He was arrested and imprisoned in Lezha on October 13, 1946, in the assembly and turned into a prison. Without trial and without punishment, he died due to torture in 1947. His body rests in the church of the Minor Friars of Lezha. (In the photo: Father Serafin Koda)
