Lexo ngjarje:

Sotir Nuni (Lashova), an Albanian-American writer, passed away in Florida, USA. He was born in Lashova, Erseka, in 1931. At a very young age, he started working as an apprentice in Korçë. The occupation of Albania deeply angered him, so he quickly joined the National Liberation War. He began writing in 1957, making a name for himself in literary circles. In 1960, he was a member of the leadership of the League of Writers and Artists of Albania and was friends with all the writers of his time. Until 1976, he published six books. His book titled “Përmes Luftës Çlirimtare” (Through the Liberation War) (1970) was removed from circulation in 1975. Thanks to his contribution to the liberation war, he did not suffer the fate of his comrades who ended up in the prisons of the communist regime, but he was not allowed to publish any books. From September 1997 to January 2000, he published twelve more books. In 2007, he published his work, which he considered his spiritual captivity, “Pellazgët – Stërgjyshërit e kombit shqiptar” (The Pelasgians – Ancestors of the Albanian Nation) a historical book where he scientifically explains to readers that Albanians are the descendants of the Pelasgians, thus being the oldest nation in the Balkan Peninsula, formerly known as the Illyrian Peninsula.
