Bule Naipi, participant of the Anti-Fascist National Liberation War, Heroine of the People, was hanged in the prison of Gjirokastra. Born in Gjirokastër, in 1924. Member of the Albanian Communist Party immediately after its foundation. Participated in anti-fascist demonstrations; worked to spread the ideas of the Anti-Fascist National Liberation War among the people, especially among the young women and girls of Gjirokastra, Libohova and Konispol. For a while she worked in the liberated area of Kurvelesh. She was one of the organizers of the bread strike in Gjirokastër (1943). She was caught by surprise by the Nazi forces and their collaborators in July 1944, was tortured in the Gjirokastra prison and hanged the same month. (In the photo: Bule Naipi)
