Lexo ngjarje:

Kostaq Cipo, a linguist, philologist, and education activist, People’s Teacher, was born in Elbasan. He headed the College of St. Adrian in St. Mitra, Calabria (1913–1917). He studied classical philology at the University of Rome (1917–1921). Due to his patriotic and anti-fascist stance, he was imprisoned and interned for about two years in Italy. After the war, he was twice elected as a deputy in the People’s Assembly. Later, as a member of the Institute of Sciences, he devoted himself entirely to linguistic studies. Together with Aleksandër Xhuvani and Eqrem Çabej, he participated in drafting the first guidelines for Albanian orthography after the war (1948, 1951) and in developing several key terminologies for schools. He passed away in Tirana in 1952. He received the First-Class Order of the Republic. (In the photo: Kostaq Cipo)
