In an attempt in Kolesjan of Kukës, Hasan Kërxhalliu, a participant in the Anti-Fascist National Liberation War and Hero of the People, was killed. He was born in the village of Bicaj in the Kukës district in 1902. He embraced the line of the Albanian Communist Party and became its propagandist in the province of Luma. Partisan in the detachment of Luma (1943) and later company commander in the ranks of the XXIV Assault Brigade (1944). Member of the Albanian Communist Party in April 1944. He helped to establish national liberation councils in the district of Kukës. After liberation, as a company commander in the People’s Defense battalion operating in Luma province, he fought for the elimination of armed groups hostile to the regime in power.
