In the village of Shën Kostandini (It: San Paolo Albanese) in the province of Potenza (Basilicata), Michele Scutari, one of the most important figures in the Arbëresh Church of Shën Konstandini Arbëresh, passed away. He was born in the village of Shën Kostandini in 1762. For thirty-six years, he served as the archpriest, from October 16, 1793, until the year of his death in 1830. In 1825, he published a work titled “Informacione historike mbi origjinën dhe vendosjen e shqiptarëve në Mbretërinë e Dy Sicilive, mbi natyrën, gjuhën dhe ritualin e tyre” (Historical Information on the Origin and Settlement of the Albanians in the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies, on Their Nature, Language, and Rituals).
