Qemal Draçini, critic, researcher, publicist, poet and prose writer, passed away. He was born in Shkodër, in 1922. He studied law at the university in Florence (1941-1943). In 1945, he worked as a literature teacher in Tirana and Shkodër, later in the Ministry of Education and Culture for the new textbooks. Because of his critical writings, he was arrested in 1946 and died in prison. Qemal Draçini started his literary creativity in poetry and prose. His critical studies on N. Frashëri, Gj. Fishta, N. Mjeda, Migjen, etc., stand out for originality and sharpness of judgment and analysis. Parts of Qemal Draçini’s work were collected in the volume “Era” (“Wind”)(Shkodër, 1995).
