At the Lumbardh river near Prizren (Kosovo), Hasan Remniku, an anti-communist fighter and against the Yugoslav government in Kosovo, was killed. He was born in Remnik of Vitia, in 1913. Until the beginning of the Second World War, he was engaged in agriculture. In 1941, with the division of the occupation zones into the Bulgarian and Italian ones, Remnik and many villages of Karadak remained in the Bulgarian zone. In September 1941, Hasan Remniku escaped a Bulgarian siege and left for Partesh, which belonged to the Italian zone. For some time he worked as a policeman and bodyguard of the mayor of Partesh, Ramiz Cërnica. After the massacre of the Bulgarian forces and the local Serbian population in Remnik, Hasan Remnik attacked these forces. He continued these actions during the years 1942 and 1943. He also participated in the Presheva war, in 1944, against the Yugoslav forces. After the end of the Second World War, the entry of the Yugoslav military forces and the failure of the uprising, Hasan Remnik surrendered and was imprisoned. After his release, he collaborated with the Albanian National Democratic Movement (LNDSH). Helped in the formation of LNDSH committees in Anamorava. After the discovery of the activities of the LNDSH (1947) and the imprisonment of its members in Skopje, Gjilan and Ferizaj, he went into hiding. He found shelter in the villages of Anamorava, such as in Remnik, Lubishtë, Smirë, Livoç i Epërm, Bresalc, Gadish, Ponesh, etc. On October 6, 1951, he left for Albania with his group. After crossing the Lumbardh river near Prizren, in 1951 he was ambushed by Serbian forces and killed together with his friends. After the murder, their bodies were exposed in Viti and Gjilan. His grave is unknown. (In the photo: Hasan Remniku)
